So after receiving a "pre-qual" for CSP when logging into my bank account sometime earlier this month (I'm a Chase customer), I waited patiently for AZEO to report on my credit reports and then pulled the trigger this morning. Got the "we need more time, we'll let you know our decision as soon as we can" message. They pulled EX (688 Fico8) and TU (741 Fico8). I do have some recent baddies from last year. Should I bother calling or just leave it alone?
Leave it aloine for the weekend and give them a call Wed to check the status and see if they need to verify you applied for it. Otherwise it might just show up when you login before then as well.
I'll leave it alone then. Thanks!
I would call tomorrow (or Tuesday if you don’t want to call on Memorial Day) and see if it’s a verification issue. Good luck!!!
Is there a specific number for Chase credit card applications?
1-800-432-3117
When the prompts come just press the following to get to application status: #, 3, 1. It'll ask you to provide your SSN and after it will tell you the status of your app.

Thank you! I’m guessing there will then be an opportunity to speak to a human?
Edit: I just gave it a dry run and see I can speak to a human after hearing “we will notify you of our decision regarding your application in writing within 30 days.”
The 30 day message you got means they haven't processed the app yet.
Starting on Tuesday morning call the robolady daily to catch when it changes from 30 days.
If it changes to 7-10 days you want to transfer to a CSR as it could either need verification or you'll be attempting a recon. You won't know which unless you call in and you don't need to wait for a rejection letter to recon.
If it changes to 14 days approval is almost certain pending finishing touches, no need to talk to an agent.
FWIW, I got that message recently when applying for my CFU. I figured it would become a long, drawn-out process to complete the app. But the next day I logged into Chase and saw the CFU listed there. It was totally anticlimactic, I never got an email or phone call or anything, the acount was just suddenly "there". Card showed up a few days later.
So I would log into your Chase account on Tuesday and see if your new card is listed there - if it isn't, then they probably need more info from you, so I'd call them at that point.
