CSP Approval Odds UPDATE - Approved!

Hey Guys,

Ive been a long time lurker..post very rarely but I am looking at appyling for the CSP.  I have had a long time banking relationship with Chase but never apped for a Card.

I am currently at 5/24 until the 7th of this month, but my cards include BoA Cash Rewards (40k), Amex BCP(28k), Citi Costco (12k), Cap1 Venture (10K) and Citi DC (5.5k.) Util is 3%.

Scores are all in the 790 to 800 range from MyFico.

No baddies or late payments.

Should I app when I hit 4/24 or till next May when I am down to 2/24.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

***UPDATE 9/21 APPRROVED***

Finally just walked in the branch and checked for any pre approvals and she said I was approved for all cards. App'd when I got home and Approved for $14k. It said if I wanted a different credit line to call, so I spoke to the rep and got bumped to 20k!

Re: CSP Approval Odds

 4/24 should be just fine.

Good luck with your app!

Re: CSP Approval Odds

Score wise, you’re miles ahead of me when I apped for the CSP and I had a collection or 2 that has since went away and I got a decent SL, I’d say go for it - the sub is nice too

Re: CSP Approval Odds

From all the info I got on this forum and the research I did when deciding to app for the CSP a few months ago, I think you should be good if you feel comfortable with it.

Your profile is fairly similar to what mine was when I was considering it. Actually a little better in all aspects, aside from being concerned about 5/24.

Re: CSP Approval Odds

@afijunkie- I'm a chase member and csp card holder so let me say you have a cple options to see how you stand. Log onto your chase portal and see somewhere on there if you have any pre approvals. Next maybe go into the branch and speak with a rep to see if any offers are on your accounts, that how I found out when I went in to close an old account. Was instantly approved with all scores over 700 at the time. The relationship is strong thing with chase but I did have the freedom unlimited card for about 9 mths before so it was my 2nd cc with chase

Re: CSP Approval Odds

Thanks for the advice..I am signed up for Chase's credit journey and see no pre approvals? Would it be better just to go in to a branch or wait?

Re: CSP Approval Odds

At the time of my pre approval, I never checked online for the preapproval. I found out not even tryna find out but I do know they have access to more in branch. Wouldn't hurt.....
