Applied for CSP and denied for new accounts, and also revolving debt too high to credit limits. The utility probably on a BT I did on my Citi card, 4300/5400 which apparently killed my Equifax score went from 724 to 604 which is what they pulled.
I'm in Texas, was approved for their Amazon Visa about two weeks ago for $2500. Just so everyone can get an idea if you are planning to apply for CSP. Rep told me they just want to see acitivity in new accounts to approve me in 6-12 months.
I think it also depends on your AAOA, because i had a few new accounts before i applied and got it with no issues. But my AAOA was 2+ years.
Are those your only 2 cards?
Sorry to hear... How many new accounts do you have? But if the score was 604, then that is defiantely not good-

I actually had a manual review from a very nice analyst. Did not mention anything about the score, just got the letter today and it's showing that score though.. It was In low 700s on all three bureaus before my Citi balance hit. I have about 6 months on AAoA on my own, my brother had me on two of his cards with 3+ years of solid history.

@85066,
So basically 5 accounts as the Paypal credit is a hidden line and then 2 AUs. I don't know if you are willing to give it another try but I'd try to recon again as you have 30 days with Chase to get a decision reversed.
But it is entirely up to you if you want to wait for like 6 months and then apply again.
I just had a manual review also on a denial from 2 days ago and was told pretty much the same thing...sort of (too many open accts w/ balances--too much overall credit exposure ((for Chase)) in general). But in my case my total UTIL across ALL cards is 11% with most of them showing VERY small balances in comparison to limits--but still balances nonetheless. And with the total $ amount of the accts. in YOUR NAME and just the $4500 you owe---you're around or close to 40%. That might be what actually caused the denial. In any case, sorry about the denial.
Ya bad idea to apply for credit when you are maxed or near maxed on a CC.. just something to keep in mind in the future.
The score they probably provides to you was the CARS(their internal scoring model) score not your Fico? Might want to look at that letter again and see.
@CreditCuriostiy: The score they put on the letter is the score from the bureau they pull. When I was denied for my BP card with them a couple of years back that's what showed on my letter.

You're right, just looked at it again and it does say Chase Acquisition Risk Score.

This can be true or not true my friend.. OP just stated it was the CARS score .. Never assume lol, but it is all good..
