They've been weird like that lately. DW had a Freedom and applied for the CSP the other day. Required verification. When she called the rep asked her to verify her phone number ending in **** but deliberately alters the last digit. Weird, considering I used the autofill feature on my browser for the application. Anyway, DW verifies and points out the error and "Approved!". Just weird.

So I called in today and they received my ID, but the FAX came through as a black box.  Was sort of bummed that I'd have to start all over again, but they said I could go into a local branch and give them my ID there.  So, I hopped in my car and went.   Worked with the branch manager who was able to give them my information and he said I'd probably get a decision right then and there.  I was still fairly sure I was going to be denied due to my scores and recent open accounts, but after a few questions, they approved me for 5k.  So happy.   Now I am in the garden indefinitely. 

 Any luck with your app, Madmann?

It is good.. If you provide it and they get it and can read it then it is an approval.. Sometimes it takes longer for some then others.. I have had to go through verification on both of my approvals, but mine were just questions.. Some people they request DL/SS card etc.. You should be good to go.  Provide it ASAP then patience is key if it is a physical fax to them, if it is just questions they will approve you right there.

These usually are held because the information they pulled for the PreQual which is based on the soft pull from the CB, sometimes the file detail doesn't match the information submitted therefore the application is suspended pending verification. People move or change jobs even sometimes the reported info is not entirely correct and the applicants submitted info isn't an exact match, unfortunately it is a computer applying the instant approval it probably cannot distinguish slight variances, thats why some never seem to get instant approvals despite having a great CS and profile.
