CSP denied for 5/24

I called to recon rep said nothing she can do for 5/24 was told to wait and try again. Did some digging on here I seen someone get approved by going into branch after a two failed phone recons and going pre approval route. Wondering if I should stop by a branch and try that. I got the freedom unlimited in December that put me at 5/24 and I have the Freedom. Looking at Amex platinum and pgr as alternates

I received 4 or 5 mailer invitations in January is that a pre approval?

Sorry to hear.  These mailers are just marketing offers technically and do not guarantee an approval.

I went in a branch had an offer for the CSP but didn't pull he tigger Experian hit me 10 points for the inquiry and equifax was only 3 points. I will be 4/25 next month when my second capital one card from 2015 falls off. Guess I'll wait till summer maybe try for the CSR.

Well, all is not lost yet.  Why don't you go into the branch and have the banker recon for you? I hope you haven't given up on it yet.  You have 30 days to get a card approved by Chase.  So plenty of time for you to plan to conquer.

Recon it again and again.  Start at the branch...

I don't want that HP again lol. If I go back to the branch and get denied again and again inquiries will build up won't they?

For the 30 days, they won't pull your report again.  So inquiries will not build up.  Try and try again.. You will succeed. Go to the branch and tell the banker you received pre-approved offers and explain to them your new accounts will be 4/24 soon instead of 5/24 which is the threshold for denial.....

Keep at it and report back with results.  Will keep fingers crossed for you.

No.  Don't go in and apply again.  You are going to go in, and tell her/him - banker you applied and was denied for having too many card in the last years thus, five new accounts in the last two years.

Then you will proceed to tell her, you want to recon the denied card.  If she doesn't know what recon is, explain to her it is "reconciliation" thus, calling the lending department on your behalf and asking them to manually review the denied application and see if the decision can be overturned.

So you are not applying for a new card but rather, asking for Chase to look at the application again and approve you instead.
