CSP... the pain..

THis card has been tugging on my heart for the longest time... possibly because of the metal core. Most likely because of the whole metal thing. Anyway, the timing is just not right so I figured I would post about the app that isn't. As much as I, by 'I', I actually mean DW, would like to just visit chase's site and pull the trigger it just doesn't make sense.  With our recent CC overhaul, we have basically amassed some good ones, that will also bring about some AFs at about the same time after the introductory periods elapse. I just don't want to add another $95 to that pile.(should have resisted the BBVA NBA card) Oh well, maybe in about 6 months it will make sense.

Has anyone had any luck getting AF fee waived with any lenders? If so, what did you have to say? Thx

You're absolutely right. What I mean to say was that the fee is also waived for all the ones we have too. Then after 12 months BOOM... AFs all at once! I'd like to stagger them (thats that hindsight 20/20 talking now). 😑

I thought I read somewhere you could call and get them to change your billing date. Maybe you can do this over-and-over until the AF is on a completely different date? LOL. I somehow doubt something like this could work though...

Unfortunately, that plan may not work (if trying to lengthen the AF billing) because the AF is billed on the anniversary date for most CCs - unless you downgrade at some point but then it will still be prorated.

Lol this is sad. Sorry it can't work.

Re: CSP... the pain..

the bonus UR's can be worth (simply) $1,000 ($2500 if transferred and planned right) in travel

i just saved $150 on a car rental (insurance waiver) as another example.

if you travel then the little AF for a few years is more of an investment (with a real nice return).

tack on freedom revolving (if the categories work with your spend) and it makes it even better.

i'm not trying to sell the card, just sharing my experience
