CSR Decline - Worth Recon ???

So appd last Monday (one week ago today) for the CSR and received the "7 - 10 Day pending review" message. I already have 3 Chase CC's, CSP, Slate, and Marriott, all over 14 month's old, and assumed it was a decline for 5/24. Today I received the decline letter, but not for being over 5/24 (as I'm probably closer to 12/24). The only reason stated was "Credit report shows a BK". My EX FICO score is 750 and does not have my BK 7 from 2007 listed. But Chase pulled both EX and EQ, and my EQ (720 FICO) still lists my BK, now 9 yrs and 4 month's old. I never burned Chase, or any other CC company. My BK was caused by a business and personal guarantees on large CNC machinery. No CC's, mortgages, personal loans, etc.. were included in my BK. I have Amex, DISC, Cap One, CITI, SDFCU, USAA, and other CC's I've never been declined because of this older BK. So is it worth calling Chase to recon or am I wasting my time ??? Both my TU and EQ should have the BK 7 deleted in a few months by January or February. I also appd for a Chase Ritz card on Friday hoping to use the HP from the CSR figuring it was declined for 5/24. Unfortunately I received a second EX HP, but not an EQ or TU, meaning the BK wouldn't have been listed. I didn't receive an auto approval, but got the 30 day email instead. Called today and they verified all my information and than stated it's still being reviewed. Not sure what I should do or when. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Re: CSR Decline - Worth Recon ???

If you haven't called recon about the CSR already and you have received the denial letter- then I would say to try, you don't have anything to lose.

As far as the RC card, if they're telling you the same they told me with the CSR about "it needs to be verified" or go through verification- then you'll just have to wait for the fraud department to get back to you. They will just need to verify your identity- you can't call them to proactively do it (as I've tried many times for the CSR when it was still pending), you just have to wait for them to call you. For me, I applied for the CSR on a Monday and they called me on a Thursday that same week to verify my identity before approving me.
