Hey everyone. Need some help/advice if possible. Here's background:
I app'd for the CSR last year when it was first released. Didn't get online approval instantly so apped for an IHG Rewards card 5 minutes later. Instantly approved at 24K.
Denied CSR for 5/24 even after getting all the way up to the Exec Office where they only offered me a product change but couldn't give me valid reasoning for giving me a 24K card 5 minutes later.
I thought I had until the end of the month to app again w/ 100K bonus but found out 3/11 was the end, so apped Friday. 7-10 day message again, called an analyst a short while ago and 5/24 is the culprit again. I'm at 11/24. Rep didn't really have any interest in discussing my accounts or reasons for them being opened. Mentioned I have an excellent credit history, then sort of rushed me off the line.
Any suggestions for recon to get over the 5/24 roadblock? HUCA seems to not be working well for me. Pretty frustrated with Chase at this point, especially because I have 4 cards + checking & savings with them.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but there is no way to get around 5/24 for the CSR at this point. The only people that were able to get the 100K bonus if they were over 5/24 was via the in branch application and were preapproved. That program is over and even if you applied before the 12th and in branch and were denied because of 5/24, there is nothing you can do. Sorry

Just FYI the IHG, among quite a few other chase cards, are not currently under the 5/24 rule.
The 100k might also come back again in the future, and you might be already under 5/24 or they've done away with that thing at that time.
btw. Just curious, I guess you didn't know about 5/24 until very recently?
Good points.
Definitely knew about 5/24 but hoped questioning the wisdom of giving me 24K to play with after saying I opened too many cards to get another cards 5 minutes earlier might get me somewhere, plus had seen some folks on Reddit that got in over 5/24. It was the last day so I threw a hail mary.
