Fidelity Visa Question

Do you need to have a Fidelity Account to apply? (Or get approved?)

If so, can it be any account? Do any of the accounts pull credit and/chexsystems for the account opening?

What's the best procedure for applying for both if I need both?

Thanks

I'd open their account if I'm going to get that card at all Since without fidelity account you can't get 2% cash back (which I assume is what you want this card for)

Their account does not need a hard pull to open (went to a branch, asked them to confirm no HP before opening, and they indeed didn't HP).

Cash management account probably works best for most as it has all features of a checking account with some unique advantages (FDIC insurance higher at $1,250,000, no fee to use ATM card at any ATM, no min amount or fee) and more (has trading capability).

Re: Fidelity Visa Question

Thanks. Their website (at least the mobile one and I am stuck with that for now) is not very detailed.

So you don't need a retirement account to get the cash management account?

I appreciate the reply

Agree with all this, open a Cash Management account, so you have someplace to deposit your 2% cash back.  The CMA is a great account, especially if you travel outside the country, no ATM fees, no FTF for ATM withdrawls (1% for debit card purchases).  No HP unless you opt for the overdraft protection.

Re: Fidelity Visa Question

No, you dont need a retirement account to open a CMA. Their ATM fee credits back to you are awesome! Ive been wtih Fidelilty for 7 yeas and have never paid an ATM fee.
