Hey guys.. hope you all doing well.
Well, as we all know CSR 100K bonus is ending in branch on March 12.. I always wanted to get that in my wallet but I have been at 5/24 or 6/24 since they launched this card.. I am at 6/24 now out of which I have one store card - Macy's. In few months I will be 2/24.. to be precise 5/24 on March 24, 4/24 on April 3, 3/24 on June 12, and 2/24 on July 5.
I went to nearby branch and asked if I had some in branch pre approvals. The banker said you have been pre approved for all the cards we offer at chase except the CSR as it no longer comes in pre approval list.. but she added if you are preapproved for all the cards you should be good with CSR as well. Should I pull the trigger in branch and recon if required? I doubt things will work out for me but don't want to regret later that I did not try for 100k. What you guys think?

Yes I would apply. Probably on March 2nd. A lot of my cards I've noticed that even if I app on the 20th or 25th on my credit reports it shows as the card opened on the 1st of that month way before I even applied.
So this may work to your benefit rather than waiting until March 24th. That's my advice hopefully it works out for you!
Thank you.. I think you are correct.. I did check my EX report and there it shows accounts opened on first of month instead of actual dates. But still I will be at 5/24 on March 2.. and I believe Chase do consider store cards in 5/24..
Should I just apply after March 1 and if they deny then recon within 30 days as after April 1 I will be at 4/24 (with Macy's still in 4/24)

That's a good idea. There are conflicting data points regarding whether or not they count true store cards but you could always try pleading that point if necessary.
I have seen people who were approved when a store card is all that put them over 4/24, but also seen people denied who had only opened 5 store cards and zero real credit cards so it seems to be based on the whim of the underwriter you talk to.
Yes! Some cards are worth getting declined over and this card is one.

Alright.. since I will be at 5/24 on Mar 2 and 4/24 on April 2 with store card still part of those 5/24 and 4/24, I think I should give it a try.. I will visit a branch sometime in first/second week before the bonus ends and try to recon if they deny.. I know it will be denied automatically by system but underwriter can override if discussed.

I agree.. and that is the reason I should atleast give it a try and not regret later that I did not try
When I got my freedom, I missed the bigger sign on bonus for UR points by about a month. I sent them a message and they added them to my account. I wonder if they would do the same for CSR? Probably not since it's such a big payout?
Just trying to think of other angles for you.

Thank you.. I know Chase has always been superior in matching signup bonuses be it a Checking/Savings account or a credit card but in this case even I wonder if they will match.. if someone can give us more insight I can try a month later may be?

imo you are over-thinking this, if the branch shows a pre-app for a csp then I would be amazed if you did not get it. not that it comes down to it but your scores are solid. I have had many friends app for it in the matter and everyone got the card
