Hey guys.. hope you all doing well.

Well, as we all know CSR 100K bonus is ending in branch on March 12.. I always wanted to get that in my wallet but I have been at 5/24 or 6/24 since they launched this card.. I am at 6/24 now out of which I have one store card - Macy's. In few months I will be 2/24.. to be precise 5/24 on March 24, 4/24 on April 3, 3/24 on June 12, and 2/24 on July 5.

I went to nearby branch and asked if I had some in branch pre approvals. The banker said you have been pre approved for all the cards we offer at chase except the CSR as it no longer comes in pre approval list.. but she added if you are preapproved for all the cards you should be good with CSR as well. Should I pull the trigger in branch and recon if required? I doubt things will work out for me but don't want to regret later that I did not try for 100k. What you guys think?

My signature is updated with most recent FICO scores and total credit limit.

imo you are over-thinking this, if the branch shows a pre-app for a csp then I would be amazed if you did not get it.  not that it comes down to it but your scores are solid.  I have had many friends app for it in the matter and everyone got the card

Sorry if I made it confusing.. Branch says pre approved for all the Chase cards except CSR as it no longer comes in pre approval list and that is the only way we can by pass 5/24 rule.. I am pretty confident if I apply for CSP in branch I will be approved and with a good SL, but I am looking for a CSR approval here which does not come in pre approval list, so I am not sure how system will by pass 5/24 rule

crystal clear, having a CSP pre-approval is a good indicator of a CSR approval.  I would suggest not waiting as pre-apps come and go.  its 1 hp, 2 worst case.  how do you want this story to end is all you have to ask yourself.  good luck and you better report back here!

Smiley Happy same here, I am just going to pull the trigger without expectation and if it tuned out in my favor that will be great

Well about my scores, they are high may be because of my income (~73K)? About Credit Limits I think I am good when I compare with my colleagues with simillar credit profile.. I don't have a long credit history, oldest account is I think 33 months only (which I closed already) and oldest open account is 30 months old with AAoA 18 months..

Got 3 CLIs from Discover, started with 1250 then to 1800 to 5800 to 8000 (1 week back)

3 CLIs from AMEX, started with 5K to 15K to 25K to 34.5K

2 CLIs for Citi TYP, started with 4.2K to 5.2K to 6.8K (2 weeks back)

2 CLIs from Macys, started with 1K to 1.4K to 9.4K (1 week back)

No CLIs on BOA, Chase and Barclay.. I hate BOA card, but Chase and Barclay I started good imo - 7k and 15k respectively

you had me at 33 months.  you have a nice lineup, good for you.  what is your current util, you might want to zero out the freedom before you app not that it makes any difference but it cannot hurt.  I think you are all set, I assume you have the means to make the spend and 2x $ 300 this year, right?

Utilization would be around 3-4% considering my most recent statement closure balances and recent CLIs.. My last Statement balance for Freedom was ~1550 which I already PIF.. and yes I can easily take advantage of both $300 credits Smiley Happy

As a side note I have an auto loan (13.5K) from local credit union, I have paid 14 out of 48 installments.

In addition I have no baddies on any of my credit report, all payments have always been on time with no lates nothing

Re: CSR, should I apply?

I will apply sometimes in first week of March.. would much appreciate if someone can help me understand following things

1) In my location Chase usually douple pull from EX and EQ. I checked my EX and EQ reports, while EX report always lists date of account opened as first of month but EQ lists as the exact date when account was opened. So if anyone know, whether Chase will consider EQ or EX date for calculating 5/24?

2) I heard Chase does not count those store cards in 5/24 which cannot be used outside the store. I have a Macy's store card which will contribute to my 5/24, so is it like Chase will not count this? If yes is it by system or once denied I need to bring this into underwrite's attention?

I know I have been thinking too much.. but just trying to prepare myself, be approved for this card and don't miss the 100K UR points Smiley Happy
