I would evaluate a few things before I applied with no credit history.

Any collections, past due bills or baddies in your profile? 

Annual income, length in job. Do not lie because they will most likely ask for verification with no credit history.

Revolving debts other than cc, student loans, car payments, mortgage?

Debt to income ratio...

Why do you need this credit? If you have no credit and end up being approved it will most likely be a small CL which does not give you room to purchase much. Use the card minimal and pay in full every month before your statement closing date to avoid the interest.

depdep, you posted this same question twice in different sections. You were given good advice previously that since you are being turned down for store cards due to not having any credit history, that it was not a good idea to apply for a major credit card like Cabela's.
