Calling Citi - Question

The last thing that will make me comfy-cozy in the garden would be if the limit on my TY Pref was on my DC and vice versa. I'd be willing to take a HP for it (they pulled EQ when I got the CLI a couple months ago, hopefully, they would again). I know it might be a long shot, but I figured I'd start at the bottom.

I tried chat, they referred me to 'specialist' who just went through the same SP thing you can do online on your own to increase the CL on the DC (which I've tried unsuccessfully and was 99% sure wouldn't work...and I don't NEED a CLI, I want CL moved). I should have asked him who I could next try, but I didn't. (bad vibe)

Which number would you recommend? In the backdoor thread there's a retention, an EO, and an EO for Citicards devision listed that could all be candidates. What say you?

From what I hear is that moving credit limit around with Citi will be a HP for either route you go.

Amex Platinum, Amex Hilton HHonors Surpass, Chase Southwest Premier, Chase Marriott Rewards Premier, Discover IT, Sony Visa, Barclay Arrival+ MC, Cabela Visa, Walmart SC, Amazon SC, Kohls, Diners Club Premier, PayPal Credit, PenFed Platinum Reward Visa, PenFed PLOC, Chase Ritz Carlton, Citi TY Premier, Amex BCP, Discover Miles, Care Credit, Blue Nile SC, iComfort SC, Cap1 Venture, Chase Hyatt, Lowes, US Bank Cash+, Citi Costco Visa

Re: Calling Citi - Question

I'm not sure if they're going to do a HP on your report since you are only re-allocating CLs between your existing accounts but I would call their EO Department here: 866-336-7285. They're pretty helpful and they make sure you are up-to-date with what's happening in your request. Good luck! Smiley Happy

Re: Calling Citi - Question

As others have suggested OP, the best route for these kinds of requests would be best done through the EO. Just be aware that for any Citi CL reallocations you'll incur a HP regardless. Best of luck!

Yeah, like I said, I think it's worth a HP to me. I figured I'd start at the bottom, but now I'd like to call 'the right' place and knock it out.

On phone now. Called this number and this is apparently the retail card (I'm guessing like HD, BB etc.) number. She's transferring me, but thought I'd put this here for anyone wandering by. Don't know if they're delineated in the backdoor numbers thread. I didn't go back and check.

Fingers crossed.

(I figure with the Arrival+ doom and gloom, I should do this sooner rather than later.)

Re: Calling Citi - Question

What division did she transfer you to? I'm trying to do another line reallocation and it's not going as smoothly as the first time I did.

Executive Resolutions - credit card division. I think the number listed above was Exectutive Resolutions - retail cards division.

Based on his comment to me, maybe they're cracking down on it? Glad I did it now! GL!

ETA: Maybe he did it because I said it's my birthday next week. Smiley Tongue
