Can I Convert My Bank Of America Secured Card into a BOA rewards secured card?

I have had my bank of America secured card for 6 months now. I deposited $2000 into the secured card I pay in full always and never went over $103. I always call the BOA Secured card number for the conversion and they always say "sorry your account is not eligible" come on I want rewards on the secured card not ggraduation

You and me both, except I didn't budge for anything over 99/500 and I use the chat feature. I no longer care about it because I have a 10k Venture on its way in addition to my. 3k Freedom

Chat feature? no I did not sorry I am typing from my phone. Can a chat with a bank of America representative change my eligibe in getting the conversion

Honestly the chat folks suck. I would go back to see my banker but no way I'm getting another hard pull as I'm on the journey for mortgage app

Different CSR dept from what I am told. Front line reps seem to have different info all the time. I would try it.

Yes you can call and tell the you want to unsecured the card if you have 6 month is very sure the you can convert to the reward card and let you CL the same of 2000 MAKE THE CALL

With BoA sometimes you need to contact them several times at different numbers. Keep trying. Also use the chat and the message system, you may get lucky.

Just say that your friend has a Secured card with Cash rewards and you want that added to your account.

If you call to unsecure your card it will be a HP. My DW added money and went to 5k on month 6 (HP) and they auto-unsecure (no HP but no CLI) at 9th statement, she asked for Visa Signature and got a new card with new number. You can put up to 10k on the secured card. That helped her to get other 5k cards.

hi I thank you all for your reply. i wanted to give you an update on on the status of the conversion. i call boa once every week to always get the same answer from the representatives that my account is not elgible for the conversion the rewards card. how ever i never gave up and finally today i spoke to one very nice lady who actually gave me credit for how well i am managing my boa secured account. i told her about my history of represenatives telling me that i am not elgible fore the rewards card and she apologized and said that the only way to get the conversion is by submitting a request . ( no hard pull and not unecure just conversion for the rewards) she couldnt understand how i was not given the option to submit the conversion request. she said based on how i treat my account and that i have 6 statments going foreword i shouldnt have a problem and that the decision will be mailed in 7-10 buisness days and if i am apporoved i will get my card in 2-4 weeks. does this make sense? i dont get why the other representatives dident do that for me.
