Can someone please explain Macy's various accounts?

I called in for Special Events account and told them I wanted to purchase a new mattress (which I did). I went in Macy's to get the Club account. Got a watch for my Dad for Father's Day. I don't have the Major Purchase account with Macy's but do for Bloomingdale's. I called in for that one too. The Club account will show up on your reports as a new TL.

How long before pic-ing to an Amex? I applied for the Macy's Amex on 6/3 but was denied due to an old credit score. They used a SP from April and my scores were over 20 points higher when I applied. Will try again in a couple of months when they will have a more updated report on file.

Thank you for explaining. I will attempt to get the special lines event over the phone, and will wait at least until I see they soft pull my credit to apply for the Amex upgrade.

Sometimes it gets frustrating going through all the posts.

If you applied online originally than you don't need to wait to apply for Amex.

If you applie in store but were only approved the store card than I would wait until after you get your first nice CLI on your store card before asking for amex and your scores to be above 690

I received a credit limit increase last month. I will wait until end of summer to get the Amex, because I just renewed my car lease, I'm sure my scores are down.
