Hi all new here but have been lurking for some weeks now. Started rebuilding April 2014. Very informative info here, thank you all so much. I have the qs1 with Capital 1 for a year now and it's been stuck on $750 for 6 months. They waived the af but won't pc or give a CLI for nothing. Scores started at 485 in 2013 now I'm in 600s on all EX 654 TU 637. Hit the love button and keep getting denied over and over. Is there anything I can do to get an increase? Thanks in advance!
Thank you. I have 1 other card, bankamericard $2000 limit and a couple of store cards and care credit. I don't want too many cards I just want the ones that I have to grow. I read here that cap one is generous but I'm not getting any love at all.
May 9, 2015. I hit the love button and even talked with them a couple times and they keep declining. At first one of the reasons was I didn't use the card much so I started using in the place of my debit card and pif a couple times, I rarely leave a balance.

Try making sure that your credit utilization is less than 30%
I've never went over. On the other forum they told me to use the card daily and use up the limit and pay it multiple times in the month. I'm still learning.

Sometimes it's good to take out the old and bring in the new. If you have good history with cap1 and they won't give you a cli on the current card, apply for a new product of theirs and close out the old card. Sometimes with that particular card it will just not grow, but a new product will grow faster. I know because I have done that with cap1. Or you can just wait for your scores to improve some more than try again. Good luck and as always ymmv.
