Not as true as it used to be. Plenty of people in these forums get steady, decent CLI's on their Capital One cards. It's the ones who are never satisfied that complain their increases aren't big enough, or frequent enough.
"Oh poor me. I've had this $15k Venture card for two billing cycles, and I deserve a CLI, but Capital One will only give me $3K."
Edit: Guess I should point out I'm being hyperbolic. I'm not saying everyone does this, but there is the occasional thread where someone with a decent limit complains about getting a 1-3K CLI.

Exactly right - not that it makes any sense, but exactly right !

I appd for the platinum a couple weeks ago and the told me I have too many cards. I have qs1 and Sony card. Closed the secured 2 months ago.
You can only have two subprime cards with them and 3 prime cards with them is probably why you got that message. If your credit qualifies not sure what you scores are you could obtain QS/Venture/Venture one. Question is it worth another 3 hp's. Also as stated does your Fico's support it so you don't waste 3 hp's.

Well said. IMO Cap1 is obtainable but do you really need another card from them?
Why not try something that'll be only 1 HP and probably has benefits that are more tailored to your needs? Or on the flip-side you could not apply for anything and let that AAOA just keep on increasing! Unless you have little credit history it is sometimes good to not app for anything for a while.
P.S. I'm back CreditCuriosity, nice to see you!
@Azure.. You as well my friend, been awhile![]()

That's the thing, I only need like 2 maybe 3 good cards. I'm not looking for more cards just would like for the few I do have to grow.
What's your average age of accounts? Current scores?
P.S. Can't tell if your user name is dirty or just silly. PM me with the meaning if you would like to share.
