Can you have both Chase Slate and Freedom?

Currently have a Chase Slate with 0% til Dec 2015 and 7K CLI... Is it advisable to also apply for a Chase Freedom....

Sure. If you haven't opened up alot of new accounts in the last two year's, and your scores are decent, you should go for it. If you just opened up your Slate, you might get the "7 - 10 day message". I did. Opened my Slate about 2.5 weeks ago. Decided to go for CSP last Wednesday and I got the "we need more time to review your application. We will get back to you within 30 day's. If you're approved, you'll receive your card in the mail in 7 - 10 days." They pulled EX with my Slate and I have not received a 2nd HP yet. Not sure if that's a good or bad sign. Amex waited exactly 1 week to HP my EX a second time after I did back to back apps for the Delta Platinum and BCP. Please come back and post your results if you choose to try for the Freedom. Yes it is possible. However, it appears Chase has revisited it's approval guidelines and some are having a tougher time opening additional trade lines if they've opened too many new accounts recently. There is a whole thread about it, just search for it.

OP- you can definitely have both chase freedom and slate. I have 7 chase cards, they do not limit you on cards but instead your exposure with them.

I got approved for Freedom and Slate one day apart and with only one HP! Im pretty stoked!
