Its been a yr since I was approved and got in with the AMEX Plat with the $450 AF last yr. With travels/hotels stays I was able to justify the AF. Well that changed this yr as I will not be traveling much and with the extra $100 on the AF I don't think I can justify it, also I do not use Uber nor force myself to use Ubereats to justify it.
I thought about the Everyday Credit Card with no AF. Unfortunately I can't appd for that right now, as my EX score has been suffering from recent app and HP for CLI. Don't wanna risk it and also I just barely got in with my Amex Delta Gold last month.
Should I PC to the PRG or Green for the time being while I garden and wait for my scores to recover?
Or cancel the Amex Plat and app for the Everyday Card when the time comes?

I don't know if this affects you, but if you don't have another MR-earning card you will lose any accumulated MR's. In my recent thread it was reported that Amex will give you 60 days to spend them before closing out access to them.
I'm in the same boat with you on my PRG. I can't justify the AF after the first year, so I'll probably be closing it, and my Amex BCE, leaving me with just the one ED card to hold my MR's until I spend them.

Yup, I was one step ahead there.. I had 30K MR point balance in which I just transferred to my Amex Delta Gold.
With the offer I received from Amex for the Delta Gold 50K miles for 1K spend. I now have 80K Delta Skymiles good enough for a RT economy ticket to Asia.

Downgrade to Amex Gold. Should be able to save a hard pull and you keep all your points.

Get the Everyday card. It is easy to get approved since you already in AmEx.

That's the plan and I know the relationship helps. But they still have to check your credit, and I am not too confident with my EX score right now and also my profile in which I just appd for couple of cards in last couple of months.
My question was is it worth it to downgrade to the other charge cards for now and say wait for another yr then app for the ED card?
Then again I'd have to pay for AF $195 for the PRG and $95 for the green. Might as well use em for the yr if you have to pay AF right?

I think that's your best game plan. Downgrade/save the hard pull. Apply for ED at the end of the year. I'd avoid the green and go for gold. We are all either eating out, eating in, or driving somewhere (2x restaurants/groceries/gas).

Will probably do that, plus isn't there a $100 Airline Credit on the PRG as well?
Also some of the perks from the Plat will still work right? Like the Priority Pass? I know I will be losing the Gold Status on both SPG and Hilton which is no biggie. I've also appd for the Global Entry which is valid for 5 yrs.
