I only had my Cap 1 platinum card for about 3 months..Is it to early to request a CLI? Will it be a SP?
Typically the account has to be open for 6 months to get a CLI through the website button or the normal CSR request over the phone.
You can sometimes get around the 6 month age requirement by contacting the EO. Never a guarantee, as with any CLI, but they can override the 6 month thing if they so choose. If you don't want to hassle with that, you'll just have to wait.
True, they normally only do cli's after 6 months but anything is possible with them. I got a couple without waiting the 6 months. And they're sp's.

No, it is not too early to request a CLI. If you qualify for a CLI, CAP 1 will give it to you and it is a softpull.

Thanks for the advice. I just tried cause it was a soft pull and got a $500 increase. Does anyone know if they give out increases like Discover or how often I should try them?

See.. Congrats. Try every 2 months if you want. It is a softpull so you have absolutely nothing to lose by having at it with the CAP 1 luv button.
