Cap-1 Venture Denied Whats Up??

I also just applied for the cap one venture and they flat out denied me what gives??????? And yes I have a CAp One with 400 limit. CAP IS CRAP!

Hi there OP,

As the thread that you posted this in was from 2015 I have started your own on this here in applications. I changed the title, you can change it if you wish by using the edit post from the pull down menu in the upper right hand corner of the post.

Venture typically comes with a 10-20k starting limit. If your profile doesn't support that you will likely be denied. Might have better luck with the Venture One.

What are your FICO scores?

Do you have other cards and what are their limits & balances?

How long have you had your current Cap1 card? More than 6 months I hope otherwise you can not be approved for another card until 6 months.

My capital one platinum was opened in May last year with a 300 SL and I always paid it in full every month. That's the only card I have and I was just approved with Citibank for 8400 until I called recon and they raised it to 10k. All my Ficos scores are over 720 and they flat out deny me? Terrible. I called recon and they were closed until tomorrow.

Interesting. They must not like something in your profile. Capital One really doesn't recon. It's always worth a try though!

Is it because I asked for a CLI about two weeks ago??? They bumped me up to 400 which was trash so that's why I decided to apply.

No CLI isn't the reason on other card.. Maybe they want to see a higher limit than 400 report on your CR if that is all that is showing?  Typically they would  ideally like to see a 5k limit report and your Citi DP hasn't reported yet hence they have no clue how you might manage higher limits.  This is the only reason I can think of.  They also have a 6 month rule between their cards, but you appears to be past 6 months since you have gotten your last Cap1 card.

I don't think that's the reason.

I think your file may be too thin for the Venture.
