Hi I recently went to the cap1 prequal site and it stated I was prequalified for the quicksilver signature card but then on the bottom it said the I might also want to apply for the venture card. My question is which card has a better SL? And does this mean I also prequal for the venture card also? I just got approved for the Amex ED preferred for 5k and when I got the card I tried for a 3x CLI but got 10k instead. The Amex has obviously not hit my credit report yet. But I'm thinking maybe I should wait for it to hit then apply for the cap1 qs or venture then. I already have a cap 1 platinum which I got 10 years ago which just got a CLI to 3.2k . Any help would be appreciated. Kinda new around here.
Definitely Venture.
Go with the Venture if you want a big limit. Not to say it'll happen, but their initial Venture llimits are usually higher than the Quicksilver ones. Which APR did it give you?
12.9 percent apr

You're golden...15K or above SL ..my best guess.
The Cap1 prequalifys are pretty solid. The 12.9% ones often lead to huge SL's. A couple weeks ago I finally talked my roommate into apping since he had 12.9 come up. Venture was approved for 30k and Quicksilver for 15k. Also had a coworker app with 12.9 showing. He got 30k on the Venture and 10k on the Quicksilver. I'd apply for both. Most that app for both get the pulls combined so one set of triple pulls for two cards. You don't have to have huge income to get jaw dropping SL's either. I'd go for both and if you like the benefits of one over the other you can combine the cards after six months.
Venture for a higher limit, but why not both? App at the same time.. you might get just one HP for each CB
I would say Venture.
Ok but should I wait for my Amex to post to my CR? It's 10k and I'm hoping cap1 will see this and give me a bigger SL
