Cap 1- verification

Scores are around a 660 , just closed on a home and need some credit , all other accounts have been closed , so I applied for cap 1 after being denied by , USAA , Discover and Wal-mart still waiting on reasons . Cap 1 i called to check on status and they needed a copy of my DL and to verify my SSN # is that normal ? Will I be approved any insight would be great thank you

Same thing happened to me last year.  Sounds like an approval.  After I emailed my info was approved within an hour. Hope this helps.  Happy holidays!

I was also asked for my SSN by FNBO last month. It is just verification issue. 
As scottbu70 mentioned, you are probably approved pending verification.

Thank you guuys for the reply - really insane that I have brought my scores up 100 plus points in 9 months was able to secure a 230 k loan for a house I just closed on Friday but have been denied by 3 cards thus far because I have no open lines of credit - I am hoping for a good outcome thanks !

Wonderful job. I've done the same thing over this year. It takes time. After the 5th statement capitalone is great about giving a credit line increase.  Might be small but it all helps. I wish you good luck with everything.
