Cap One Pre-Credit Steps CLI

My 4th statement just hit for my Cap One QS and again I was denied a CLI before my credit steps CLI.

Having tried a couple weeks previously with a denial message along the lines of "The amount of debt you have compared to income is not enough" I became suspicious enough to check my income information on their website.  Turns out I forgot a 0.  Makes sense.  I updated this information, waited a couple of days and received the "We're monitoring your spending at assigned limits" for my newest denial.

I've seen a lot of success with people on credit steps getting CLIs before their credit steps hits.  I used the card heavily for the last statement to increase my chances.  I maxed it out 3 times and made three full payments.  Is there anything else I can do besides trying at my 5th statment?  I like this card, but the $300 limit makes it challenging to use for bigger items I'm having to put on my BoA 321 instead.

Just wait.  It will happen when it happens.  There's no urgent need for either of you to increase the limit since you're able to make multiple payments.  Just pull back a little bit and play hard to get and you might get your wish granted sooner.

Out of my three Capital One cards, I only ever got 1 pre-credit steps CLI, and it was only $100.
