I belong to a union and received an invite a few weeks back to apply for this card back by Cap. One. I was approved for a Quicksilver Visa. Sig. 2 mos. ago, so I figured WTH and somewhat reluctantly pulled the trigger on this one....$2K CL---a WHOLE LOT less than I was expecting. The only good news is they only pull one bureau for this card. This card supposedly has good benefits with it, but I don't need ANOTHER toy limit card in my credit file-in fact I have 2 already that I'm considering giving the axe. Do you think it's possible to close this card and move the limit over to my Quicksilver VS? Or should I just SD it for 6 mos. and maybe try a PC later perhaps to a Venture One card?
yeah... they don't move credit limit over, I think your best bet is to pc it to ventureone or something.
OP, as mentioned above, Capital One does not reallocate CLs or combine accounts. Depending on the product code, they may or may not be able to PC since the Union Plus is not part of their mainline legacy of products (QS, QS1, Venture, etc.). The key to a happy outcome, as with anything, is low expectations - this way, you're not disappointed.

Right? Oh, and be surprised if they exceed them!
Well if that's the case, I may have a third contender for the chopping block...OCCU's Beaver Card and Chase Freedom are among the others. Thanks for the replies.
Who did they pull for Union Plus?
Not 100% certain, but from what I read in another thread it's Equifax. @Medwar1--I guess I'm just shocked because I was instantly approved for the QS-VS and half of my limits are $5K and over. I guess the underwriting dept. for this card may be different than some of their 3-bureau pull CC's.

That makes 2 out of ~15 products that they offer.
