Re: Cap One Walmart Master Card CLI Denial

For the last 4 months I have checked the LUV button and each time they offer a $100 increase, which I decline.

I have a measly $1K limit and run about $500-600 a month, pay in full every month and still have to make extra payments just to keep from hitting my limit.

That is my scenario exactly.  As I stated previously, I was truly surprised my CLI was not granted.  I thank all of you for your responses.  I gather that this is usual for the Walmart card.  I was hoping to get a CLI with Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas coming up.  I will just have to live with the $1K limit.  When the 5% cashback expires, I am going to sockdrawer it anyway and that happens in December.

I previously asked for a CLI on this card and was denied. With NFCU showing me love, this will become my "gas card." Sam's consistently has the cheapest gas in the area and I get 5 cents off per gallon for paying with this card.

Thanks for the heads-up on Discover.  I did look it up and your are correct, so that is the card I will be using at Walmart for that quarter.

I won't use because I will no longer receive 5% cash back.  As Joe pointed out, the Discover will be offering 5% cash back during the last quarter, so that is the card I will use.  I had planned to replace the use with a 3% cash back card, but 5% is so much better.  Thank you again, Joe.

Where did you find the 5 cents per gallon off for paying with the NFCU card, please.  I did not see that anywhere.  The Sam's gas is good for cars.

5% Cash Back will continute for Grocery Pickup and Online Orders.   After 12 months it only goes away for in store purchases.   Mine Expires next month, but since we get the bulk of our groceries from Pickup I will contunue to use this card.

They had better give me a CLI on my Quicksilver with my measly limit.  I put $1400 spend through it every month well past $500.  They should atleast give me $1500 or I will probably close it.

So your CL is $500, is that the credit steps program? It will probably double, but beyond that it will be rough. Mine started  at $1,000 and went to $1500 in 2017. Been trying for an increase since with no success.
