Requested a CLI and was denied. Really thought they would approve one. Have had the card since 12-19, pay total bill and all credit card bills every month. Have never had a CLI and this was the first one I requested. Credit scores are between 750 and 800. Is it common for Cap One to decline the first CLI?
@IncrsCreditScore, Sorry for your Cap1 increase denial.
They are not very generous with CLI's right now.
I've had that card since 10/19 and have been paying it off biweekly just got my first increase and it was a measely 100 one.
What is the CL of your card and your monthly spend on it?
You failed to state how much spend you are placing on card, but as pointed out above, Cap One isn't being generous on CLI... Period
Is the same true for all of capital one cards Currently? I don't see too many people getting big CLI on Walmart cards ever. I'm curious to see what my Quicksilver CLI will be.

Its very common on this card. Ive read very few cli on the Walmart cards and nothing shattering. Unless you are spending heavily and i mean super heavy, i wouldnt expext this card to grow. Cap One is not Sync with Wally luv
Cap 1 is not being generous with CLIs. I have 2 cards. The Quicksilver and a Bergdorf Card. I have requested increase of limits on both cards and have been declined. Moreover, I have a ton a cash in a Cap 1 savings account. Maybe, it's the current climate. Walmart receives a lot of traffic but Cap 1 wants to triple pull for just a store card as well as the mastercard version? Cap 1's standards are much higher than synchrony and I'm not that big of a fan of synchrony either.
They had better give me a CLI on my Quicksilver with my measly limit. I put $1400 spend through it every month well past $500. They should atleast give me $1500 or I will probably close it.
Cap One CLi's will usually be small if approved and disappointing. CO loves heavy spend to get anything and will often deny you for not spending about relative to your limit. I also doubt they will offer upgrades from the store card to a visa/mc version like sync did every so often. I did get sync to increase my wally card to 20k before conversion. sadly it is a store card, so it doesn't get as much use, especially with wally divesting in vudu.
