I previously asked for a CLI on this card and was denied. With NFCU showing me love, this will become my "gas card." Sam's consistently has the cheapest gas in the area and I get 5 cents off per gallon for paying with this card.
Where did you find the 5 cents per gallon off for paying with the NFCU card, please. I did not see that anywhere. The Sam's gas is good for cars.
I think maybe I wasn't clear in my response. The point I was making is that NFCU recently approved me for a platinum card with a SL of $20,000. My Cap1 Walmart card will be regelated to a "gas card."

I won't use because I will no longer receive 5% cash back. As Joe pointed out, the Discover will be offering 5% cash back during the last quarter, so that is the card I will use. I had planned to replace the use with a 3% cash back card, but 5% is so much better. Thank you again, Joe.
5% Cash Back will continute for Grocery Pickup and Online Orders. After 12 months it only goes away for in store purchases. Mine Expires next month, but since we get the bulk of our groceries from Pickup I will contunue to use this card.
Oh wow, @MakingProgress, that is great news. I, too, get my groceries (at least for the foreseeable future) via Curbside Pickup at Walmart. Never knew the 5% going away was only for in-store purchases. So glad you explained this. Thank you so very much. I will continue to use CapOne Walmart since that is the case. Just super nice for you to provide this clairification.
