Cap1 HP good for the whole day/24?

I have read/heard that Cap1 only pulls one HP for all apps submitted within 24hrs. The threads I have read are older (years old). Can anyone advise on this with an updated experience? I am not sure atm if I want to immediately try for another or not, and I definitely do not want to look desperate. That said, if I am going to I would like to do it soon for no reason other than so it can age and I can accrue some more positive history before we start looking into house loans in a year or two.

Edited to add: I was playing around on the Cap1 site and went through part of the app for the Venture, and it says this at the bottom:

If you don't qualify, we may consider you for other cards. We'll only check your credit once, and it won't affect your Venture application. You'll be able to accept or decline our offer. I'm guessing this has nothing to do with my question of multiple apps, but it is mentioned because of the possibility of getting an alternate offer.

I also tagged this under App Spree, because 3 in day is a spree for me!

I don't know the answer to your question but hopefully someone can chime in with DP's. Is there a reason you don't want to look at any other lenders? Personally, I would not be willing to risk 6 HP's for 2 cap one cards. Have you tried any sp pre-approvals?

@Flfico Thank you for the link, I will check that out. As far as other lenders, I am completely open and interested. Cap1 has been good to me while rebuilding but I am looking to broaden my profile. I have one preapp I accepted today, WS Visa. Ulta preapp keeps popping up at check out, and I shop there a lot but I am holding out for Sephora. Which may or may not be a preapp at some point.

I would like to have a couple more decent limit bank cards, US is on my list but that is years out. So for now, while rebuilding I am looking at reasonably decent offers for places I shop frequently or other benefits that would be worthwhile for me. I am trying to avoid store cards unless it is MC or Visa.

Cap One now requires six months between apps. I wouldn't chance it -- would hate to get three triple pulls. See this article:

Great question. Yesterday I was approved for one of Capital One's store branded cards.

I decided to pop over to their prequal page to see if anything came back. Received the message that they'd recently processed an application or approval for me and wouldn't be able to consider me for the prequals. Not verbatim of course

I'd also go with list of soft pull lenders to see what comes back.

@Anonymous Thank you for the info! I did see the link and read about how Cap1 is processing apps now, 1/6months. I'll wait because as it stands now, my next card app with them will be a Savor, or Venture. I rarely travel though (boooring lol) so the Savor would make more sense for my needs. I also would like to get a card from a different lender since I have a few with Cap1.
