I recently got the secure card and apped for qs1 approved and then apped for platinum and denied.
i just got an email and the reason for denial was
" Based on your application information, there is a currently pending or recently processed application with Capital One"
anyone got this before. chance of calling and getting them to push it through?
**bleep**? Why would they approve one but not the other?
well i did do it backwards and got secure first because i thought there was no way i would get the others.
so maybe my security deposit hadnt gone through? im not sure.
i'd call
I think it's because of having 2 rebuilder cards. Just guessing...but Secured, Quicksilver One and Platinum are their Average Credit credit cards and the limit is 2 total.
called.
told me because you can only have 2 cap 1 accounts open! wish i didnt have secure put platinum.
oh well. still 2 new cap one cards
ALWAYS APP QS1, THEN PLAT, THEN SECURE IF NEEDED

Ordinarily it will simply say "too many capital one accounts". Is the secured account still in process?
If you go to the "compare cards" link and hit the "card details" button, then hit the "rates and disclosures" link, you will find a list of automatice denials - one of them is the number of current open accounts you have with capital one. Depending on the card you are applying for the number is either 2 or 5. Its 2 for all of the "avergage credit" or "Rebuilding" cards and 5 for the rest.
A lot of people have somehow slipped through the cracks and gotten 1 secured card, 1 platinum and 1 QS1 card. You can always close the secured card and re-app for the unsecured. You'll have to do that eventually anyway as the secured card does not graduate.
They said they couldnt go back and stop the secured and revisit the platinum.
It would be another pull and i might not get it

I think it's cuz normally they apply for the secured get that use for a 3-6 months and apply for the platinum and qs1 at same time
