Was just wondering if this sounds like a generic response from cap1? Hit the CLI button on QS and got denied.
- Cap1 account recent past due
- use is too low
The reason I'm confused and wondering if the past due one is a generic response is I haven't been past due. Instead I pay super early and nothing's bounced or anything. The low use is definitely valid though. My accounts haven't been restricted either. First time I've seen that denial.
ETA - I did call cap1 and the rep said my accounts have never been past due but referred me to pull my credit reports from the letter since they're not credit advisors.
Did you by chance burn Cap One in your BK7?
I did but this is the first time this message has come up for me. The two rep asked if I had an hsbc card when it transitioned but I didn't.

Then the "recent" past due could be the burned account from your BK, even if it hadn't come up before. Also, CSRs aren't always the most knowledgeable.
