Cap1 UGH

Hey guys,

So I've been seeing all over the forums that people are easily PCing from QS1/Plat to QS/Venture by just chat. So i figured I'd give it a shot with no luck. I then called up the EO and asked them to PC me and they asked why, so i just said "id like to have one QS1 changed to a NO AF QS, and the other QS1 changed to Venture for the rewards." and she said that all i wanted was to not have an annual fee. i then said that i want the venture as well for rewards, because I travel a lot. so she said "well if i remove the annual fee and dont change the product will you be happy?

why are they so against doing a PC for me? I've never burned them or done anything to tick them off.

Re: Cap1 UGH

Why are you trying to PC into a Venture from a low limit QS1 when its biggest redeeming features are the signup bonus and the high end limits?

Re: Cap1 UGH

because:

1. I dont want a triple pull

2. 2 points for travel is better than 1.5 points cash on 1 card.

anything is really better than QS1 IMO.

Triple pull invalidates itself when the limit isn't enough to buy a pair of airplane tickets. Smiley Indifferent

You see where i'm coming from here, don't you? If you DO manage to get a Venture PC out of one of those QS1's don't expect it to grow to much more than... ~$2,000.

And as an added insult to injury you lose out on the spend bonus? Sounds like a lose-lose to me.

But they're your cards and i'm just making a statement on an observation. Smiley Happy

I see where you're coming from, but the QS1s in my signature are taunting me. this will keep me from apping if i get a shiny new card Smiley Wink I dont need a triple pull regardless. I've gotta force myself to garden and this is borderline gardening haha

You have much better lenders and options...

Why not just close those QS1's if they taunt you and continue gardening? Smiley Tongue

OP, before considering investing the triple pull at all, do you get any Capital One prequalification cards with specific interest rates when you go through their SP card finder? If you don't have a specific prequalification there, it may be those three pulls would be wasted, in my opinion.

If there IS a prequalification with a specific APR, then you have another decision to think about.

Re: Cap1 UGH

the ultimate deciding factor will be what my credit steps CLI will be. if they give me the minimum $200 and dont offer to PC, I'm gonna do just that. I dont know what I did to them but they sure dont seem to want me as a customer
