the ultimate deciding factor will be what my credit steps CLI will be. if they give me the minimum $200 and dont offer to PC, I'm gonna do just that. I dont know what I did to them but they sure dont seem to want me as a customer

There is a really interesting offer that another member was made for no AF 2% rebate on payment w/Capital One...This may be worth something to you. Smiley Wink

Seriously though if I was in w/Citi like you i'd be closing those QS1's yesterday. I understand you're waiting to see how they do you on those CS CLI's but unless you're making multiple payments per month like some here have had to do, It's not going to be the best thing since sliced bread.

Re: Cap1 UGH

I would app for a QS and Venture, take the 2x triple pull, and close the QS1s. The HPs will fall off after a couple years, and it sounds like you want to garden anyway, so this will set you up properly and allow you to not need more cards. As it stands, I can't imagine using a card with a $500 limit, especially if it had an annual fee.

I apped and was denied QS a few weeks ago. I refuse to waste another triple pull on them. their reasons for denial were "Based on data from (Bureau), Credit information is missing or unavailable", but when i call in, they tell me completely different (and reasonable) reasons. they have some sort of glitch with me. I'm not sure why, but It looks like they're gonna be out of my wallet before long. I already rarely use them.

Re: Cap1 UGH

I definitely don't think you should apply for both QS and Venture. A total of 6 HP's...ehhh. And I'm a Capital One supporter! But it sounds like they just aren't ready to give you much right now. I second your point of just using your other cards at the moment, maybe try again later, because I don't see Cap One extending you much right now. No need to waste all those pulls.

Re: Cap1 UGH

In that case, just close the cards. They're not being helpful and the signup bonuses are going to be much more beneficial to you than a $500 limit.

Re: Cap1 UGH

Ignore what Cap1 is telling you now.

Close the QS1 and wait by the mailbox.  Preapprovals for QS Visa will follow shortly.  At least that was my experience...
