Cap1 is stingy again

They were giving my wife and myself CLI's on request, they gave her a major CLI unrequested, then it just stopped. I have been requesting CLI's online and it says I don't use it enough... I spend about 1/3rd of the limit and PIF every month. Is that really not enough? Meh. I'm tempted to call the EO again. My Discover limit is 5x my Cap1 limit. I bought a home this year and am financing some repair etc related purchases on the Discover and could use a little extra available credit to help my scores.

I would advise you to apply for a new card from a different bank, if you just bought a home you should be in a prime spot to get just about anything you want. I would contact the EO about this as well. If the card was originally a rebuilder you are not likely to see the large limit you may be after. I have a Cap-1 rebuilder from 2010 that is way under any other CL I have, only reason I keep it around is its 9.9% APR....

yes. all of that does not matter to cap one. when it comes. they will give sometimes. sometimes they don't. i have all of those and i don't compare apples to oranges. its not who cap one is. so you can't make them be super prime when they are not. get another card. or just wait it out.

+1 not to mention you can probably find a nice rewards card with a bit of a 0% APR float Smiley Wink

Re: Cap1 is stingy again

I was going to apply for a Slate (already preapproved) to BT the home repair balance from the Discover when the intro APR runs out.

Slate is going out the window? I was going to wait another 4 months, I still have time.
