CapOne Offered $100 CLI - Holding Out

Seeking peoples knowledge here.. I've had my account with Capital One for 61 days now. Started as a Platinum MC and then PC'd to a QS MC. Started with a $500 limit.

Approved on: 06/10/2016

Received Card: 06/19/2016

PC'd to QS MC: 06/27/2016

I've made more than $2,500 in payments on the card, it has a zeo balance now and my scores had increased slightly (a couple of points). So, essentially, I've used this card religously. Went for a CLI this morning and was instantly offered $100. I rejected it. I've read a lot of other people rejecting the small CLI and then going back a couple of days later and getting a much larger CLI.

What's been your experience with this? Thanks in advance!

Did your 2nd billing cycle end?  I started out with a Plat and QS1 with low lmits as well. Close to my 6 month mark I got approved for $100 and accepted both...it didn't stop my credit steps increase a couple of weeks later.  Try again after the bill prints...if the $100 still pops up try again in a couple of weeks.

Starting scores 1/2015 TU 568 EQ 600 EX 600
Current scores 1/2016 TU 662 EQ 669 EX 653
6/2016 TU 662 EQ 678 EX 655

Von Maur $800, Cap1 Plat $3.100, Cap1 Sony $3,000, Cap1 QS1 $3,750, Khols $2.500, First Savings $750 closed , Overstock $3,200, Avenue $1450, Walmart $6,000, Venture $18,000, Discover it $3,000 Amazon $3,500>6% Util, Advant $2,100 loan, Credit Union Auto $15,000 3.9APR--upgraded to 8/2016-upgraded to QuickSilver for both my Cap1 Plat and QuickSilverOne

Re: CapOne Offered $100 CLI - Holding Out

My first statement cut 3/9. On 4/7 I applied for CLI and was denied. On 4/9 my second statement cut and on 4/18 I hit the luv button again and got $500.

I don't think it's a 60 or 61 day thing or whatever. I think it's number of statements that have been cut.

Like, yesterday my 6th statement cut and today I got $500 CLI.

Capital One Savor: $6,000; Mission Lane: $4,500; PenFed Power Cash Rewards: $3,500; Nordstrom Visa: $3,300; Capital One: $2,550; PenFed Gold: $2,500;
Store Cards: Kohls $2,500; Home Depot: $1,500; Amazon: $1,000; Target: $900; LOFT: $700

I'm two statements in. My statements cut on the 6th of each month. I guess I will try again in a few days or so to see if the CLI increases. Truthfully, a $100 CLI does nothing for me but if it's all they're going to offer, then I guess (at some point) I'll take it to keep progressing.

It's definitely a ymmv type of thing, but I don't think you'll have anything to lose by rejecting the CLI and holding out for a bigger one, especially considering the use you've run through the card. Good luck and keep us updated.
