CapOne. To apply or not

I have received 2 CapOne Quicksilver pre-approvals in mail and when I do pre-qual online, I have recieved pre-qual for the platinum and QS.

My question is I recently got 2 pay for deletes completed, one for a closed collection and one for an open one removed but hasn't updated yet.  In addition Im disputing my last collection as the account doesnt belong to me.

Should I wait until my CR updates or should I apply now? How big of an impact on my SL will that have if any?

My FICO 8's are; Trans - 603; Equifax - 624; Experian -634

100% Wait for everything to update then see what your reports and scores look like. You could see a decent increase in your scores. Those cards aren't going anywhere and it may actually lead to even better cards and higher SL.

Seems like you're doing a great job getting your reports in order

If you feel you can not wait then go ahead and apply but if I were you I would wait for CR to update! It could be the difference between a low SL or a nice SL!

Re: CapOne. To apply or not

I would also advise waiting till your reports update since having collections removed can cause large increases in scores and make your profile less "risky" in the eyes of lenders. Cap1 is not going anywhere and it is possible you can go from prequal for the QS1 to the reqular QS once your reports update.

Re: CapOne. To apply or not

I hope you decided to wait. If Capital one were to deny you credit, the process to reconsider is strenuous. See if your score increase first. Also, your report will look much better. Patience :-)
