The end of this month marks 6 months since my last Cap One app. I will be hitting them up for a CLI on my Quicksilver and then I want to apply for a 3rd card from them. I will be trying out the prequalifier to see what they offer. I don't travel so I'm more inclined to ask for a second Quicksilver card and then combine them in six months but I'm not ruling out the Venture. I really want a card that is at least $5k, so would the Venture or the Quicksilver be more likely to start with that limit (or higher)? One year post-discharge and my FICO scores are in the 650-692 range.
I've considered other cards, but I burned NFCU, Discover, Citi, PSECU, Alliant, Amex, USAA, PenFed, and Nordstrom in my BK7, so CapOne is probably where I need to stay for now. I tried to obtain a BOA Secured card, but they said NO NO NO.
Yeah....Amex got burned.
It was only for $700 though. I should've taken them up on their OPTIMA offer but I didn't so it looks like it will be several years before they will even consider me again.
Edited to correct Venture scores. I read the wrong line the first time.
My data points for both cards:
Quicksilver WEMC, 13 months post-BK, EQ 695, TU 655, EX 682, $10000 SL. Cold app.
Venture Visa Sig, 20 months post-BK, EQ 686, TU 652, EX 685, $15000 SL. Pre-qualified.
Hope these help, although I do think Cap1 has tightened up a bit since I got the Venture.
Good luck! Let us know what happens!
Lowe's and Kohl's were the only two store cards I wanted as they are the only two I will use. I got them for the discounts as I shop at both stores regularly. Here's a breakdown on when I got my cards:
3/17 Capital One Quicksilver MC (was a Platinum)
4/17 Credit One Bank Visa (closed this acct earlier this month)
9/17 Capital One Savor MC (was a Platinum)
9/17 Kohl's
1/18 Barclay's Apple Rewards Visa
1/18 Lowe's
2/18 Comenity Williams Sonoma Visa
Barclays can be weird about apps after them, especially several apps. (The best term I'veIread here is "jealous lover") I echo everyone else and recommend gardening for at least 3 months, preferably six, before apping again.

Do you have two Cap1 cards now and your going to app for a third? If so it will be a waste of a hard pull. I tried for a third card last month and was denied due to having two cards with them already which is their max.
I've read that you can only have 2 starter cards, but you can have a total of 4 cards.
Their website says five cards. The OP's cards are a QS and Savor, so he should be fine if he wants a third.
