Re: Capital One Application with closed account ?

If I try to apply and am denied for it being too soon or a duplicate app. Will it result in hard pulls ?

Re: Capital One Application with closed account ?

I'm in this very situation and I have (2) QS1. There are never any PC options for it. I definitely should have appd for Platinum on my second card not the QS1 again - very bad move.

If you have the option, app for a Platinum not QS1 @porch is right!

No, if you apply before the 6 month period is up and the system automatically declines it there are no hard pulls, I had this happen to me twice haha

Re: Capital One Application with closed account ?

When I began my rebuild in 2015 I started with the platinum. $300. And after six months it went tp $500. I paid in full every month. Pushed what I could thru it every month. Called and asked for an upgrade and said I don’t want to unless no annual fee. They said we can upgrade you to the quicksilver. They did. It’s since went to $750, then $1500, and now $2500. All auto increases every six months. The platinum is the best card to start if you can to avoid starting with secured. But that’s only if your credit score is close to 600. I recommend it as everyone’s first or second card. Easiest product change card around to upgrade as your score improves. Hope this data point helps. Oh and I don’t make a lot. If I can do it low income anyone can.
