So my husband and I both have the Cap 1 Secured Platinum MasterCard. He was told he is in the steps program and his 6th statement dropped last night, yet still no limit increase. When he contacted them earlier this month they told him it could be anywhere between his 5th and 7th billing cycles. Everybody else is reporting theirs hit the day of or the day after their 6th statement. Anyone else experience a delay in their increase and if so, how long was it?
I got my credit steps on my Platinum secured at 6 months ($3000->$3300, ugh). My QS1 6 month is coming up in February so no data there.
Has he ever had any issues with his Platinum card including any of the following:
Since the statement dropped last night it may take a day or two to update, I'd monitor it and please do update this thread with results.
Thanks for the info. He’s never had any of what you’ve listed. Never been over, never been late, and never had a payment returned. In fact, they won’t even allow us to make the payment if there’s not enough funds in the account. I will update if anything happens.
I just browsed some threads on the topic and a lot of folks say they got their credit steps the day after statement cut, but also a bunch say it was 2 days after.
Okay. Maybe we’re just anxious with it being so close to Christmas as the increase would help. I just got out of the hospital and being out of work has definitely put a damper on Christmas for the kids.
