Capital One Income Verification?

yeah I like to know your current limit on your card also. If it's 20,000+ I can see why they'll want income verification for a CLI.

They asked for the same of me. I did it. I told them I included $700/mo from my parents as I'm in school and they help my limited income by paying rent. They then wanted their income. That's when I scoffed at them and said absolutely not. Needless to say I'll never have a Capital One card and I'm ok with that.

Weird, never heard of capital one asking for income verification, maybe just income but that's it! INTERESTING!!!

I doubt they will close the card. It's not like it's a FR and they initiated contact asking for this info. In that case ignoring them would more than likely end up with a closure. But since you initiated this request, letting it go shouldn't be an issue.

Current Limit is 11k.

Fair enough. Full time employed with decent income, but well under 100k. Do not know what set off the alarm bells

Well it has been a couple of days, and they have not closed the account. I like my Cap 1 card, and it has good CL. Considering I have not received a CLI on my Freedom for 2 years, I guess no CLI from C1 in the future is no big deal.

Interesting.  I haven't received a CLI from Cap One yet, I keep getting the "account too new" message, but I am coming up on the 3rd statement which a lot of folks say is the sweet spot.  But our combined incomes are well over $100k.  I have to assume they will ask for verification.  Like you, I have no problem sending paystubs, but I'm certainly not sending my tax return!
