Capital One Income Verification

I have been trying to get an increase on my two Capital One cards for the past year, but haven’t had any success getting them above $1300. Since they are probably in the subprime care of pry (Was a platinum and a QS1) I decided to combine cards.

About two weeks ago, my scores breached 700 so I went to App for the QS card. Was given the “additional time needed for review message”. Last Wednesday I received an email asking for income verification. I submitted my last three bank statements per the acceptable documents on Saturday. For those who have had experience submitting docs online for income verification, how long did communication back take?

Couple of older threads:

Quite a few more actually but some of these may pertain to this.  This is the first time I've ever heard of it so I'm going to dig a bit into the archives and take some personal notes on it!  Very interesting, please do update this thread as you get results/answers so there's more data points.

Re: Capital One Income Verification

Thanks ABCD2199 -

I saw these, but nothing all that recent, so I’m curious if others have had any experience in the past year. My income reported is definitely supported by the deposits each months. And the only expenditures other than rent, care, and utilities they’ll see is my huge Amex payments (all of which can be theirs!)

Will updates when I receive additional feedback.

Re: Capital One Income Verification

Yep, agreed, it's been almost 2 years since the last update -- and sometimes no updates to the threads at all which is disappointing.

I'd be surprised if there's any denial or closure because of it.  Unless you really lied about your income.  I personally always report my income at 20% less than I actually make, just in case.  I do that because I see people with 1/4 the income I have with insanely high credit limits, so I doubt income is as important as one would think.

Some days, I think having a stronger income can be a deterrent if the lender says "well this guy has enough money to never need to revolve a balance and pay us tasty interest!"
