Hi,
I'm rebuilding my credit (scores in sig) and have 3 Capital One cards that I PIF every month.
Platinum Classic (with absolutely no benefits) - $1,500 limit
QuickSilver One - $750 limit
Spark Classic Business - $2,000 limit
I've had the Platinum for about 14 months, and considering that the APR is bad, and there's no reason to have it with two rewards cards, I'm trying to get a game plan to PC to another card. I know I need to wait for my scores to improve before I change product tiers, does anyone have any suggestions for which card to switch to, and when?
Current thought is to switch to a Venture One around 675-700 OR a QuickSilver Visa around 675. But I can always try switching the QuicksilverOne to a Quicksilver when my score and history are proved.
Tips? Suggestions?
Thanks!
Just initiated an online chat to upgrade the card to a Quicksilver Visa... took 10 minutes, and was approved.
Yes! Now, all 3 of my credit cards are cash back cards... now to lie in wait while my score improves so I can upgrade the Quicksilver One to a Venture sometime down the road.
It's normal to get obsessed with your credit after watching it go up 60 points, right? Because I'm pretty sure that's what's happening.
Was your PC a soft pull or a hard pull? Thinking of changing my Capital One card in the future...
I'm assuming soft since myFICO didn't give me any alerts.

Cool, thanks

Don't PC to Venture. App for it to get the spend bonus instead!
Congrats on the new card! Now that you have the QS, see if you can transfer your limit from the QS1 to the QS. That will allow you to close the QS1. Down the line, you can always apply for the Venture if you want a rewards card in addition to your others.
They won't transfer limits, at all, which is super annoying
