Capital One QS CLI - should I accept?

I currently have a $1k limit on my Capital One QS. This limit hasn't changed in almost 2 years. Today I tried to request a credit line increase and it came back with $100. Should I accept this and try for another one in 6 months, or is there a chance I could get a higher increase if I held off a bit longer and tried again?

I'm in the process of rebuilding my credit. Normally I've been denied in the past for CLI due to low credit scores, but this is the first time I've recieved an instant offer.

Re: Capital One QS CLI - should I accept?

Cap1 is super stingy with CLI and lots of folks have seen there limits decrease due to the pandemic and tightened purse strings from an already tight purse. I got the same thing and took it based on that. Set a reminder to ask again in 6 months. There are  some examples of nice increases with very heavy spending, paying multiple times in the month, and ending the month with no balance or like under 5%. of course YMMV. It felt like a good idea to take it for me. I had my QS for 2 months and got that increase. I say take it and mark your calendar.

Take the $100 from their stingy hands and retry in 6 months.

I always get not enough use of current credit limit, or not large enough payments made on account or some other silly excuse.   I gave up on CLI with Cap1 and just keep them around becuse they are my oldest 2 accounts and just give them a little spend every few months.

is it a hardpull from all 3 bureaus when you request for a cli with capital one?

No, no hp from any bureau even if you ask multiple times back to back.

Re: Capital One QS CLI - should I accept?

@Anonymous It depends on you and your future spend.

Are you planning on using this card more for the next 3 months?  If so, don't take it.  Run your spend and then request.

I think the overall consensus here is take it and you will like it!  LOL

Cap1 isn't the easiest with those.  Enjoy!
