No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
My EQ report says that one of the key factors that adversely affected the credit score is "too many accounts with balances". I kept some balances (<30% of each card, <10% of total CL) on some cards for ~4 months. EX simulations show that it should take ~4-5 months for the creidt score to repair (a few months ago, I got misguided by CK VantageScore3 and I kept some balances <30% that degraded Fico8).
I think, I would not continue with this application to let my credit score to heal faster.
That's strange because I was approved for a Cap 1 QS1 this month with EQ locked. I think my file is split with EQ, hence the lock. They pulled TU and EX. I checked into my account a few days later and it was restricted, untill I called and answere some security questions.
I paid all the balances ~40 days ago but the Fico8 credit score did not heal (Vantage3 in CK is 770). The EX Fico8 optimum value should be ~770 instead of 720. The EX simulations show that after ~5-6 months, it reaches 770.
So, I use all CC regulary in each month and I pay them all every week to keep them active with a zero balance. Hoping Fico8 can be healed faster than 5-6 months. The CK misguided me with its Vantage3 but now I know what to do.
Nope. It makes no sense to add inquiries to all 3 credit reports for a single credit card.
I will wait to reach Fico8>740-750 before sending any further application and I will consider other credit cards.
So instead you used up two inquiries and didn't get a card. when that third one may have gotten you one...
Your not getting those two back just because you didnt fufill Cap Ones requirement of 3 pulls...
You approved them to make those two pulls for determination of credit... you dont get to take it back because you dont like their offer....
Not very smart IMHO....

Since the OP has stated that he has no intentions of pursuing the application further, the thread has run it's course and will now be locked and closed to new messages.
As a reminder, it's against the forum's TOS to discuss/advocate freezing a bureau to force an issuer to pull a different bureau; if anyone has questions about this they are welcome to send me or any moderator a PM.
