Capital One Question - 2 card limit?

I've currently have 2 platinum cards (both were credit steps) that have been PC'd (6+ months ago) into the following:

Venture One MC - $3,500 limit

Quicksilver MC - $1,000 limit

I have an offer for the Venture One to PC to a Quicksilver.  My question is...

If I accept the PC, can I then apply for the Venture Visa? Does the 2 card rule apply to the starter platinum cards that are still technically platinum?

Regardless of what you do with the PC, you are still able to apply for a Venture card. You may apply for one of their prime cards as long as you currently have less than 5 open accounts with them.

The 2 card limit is for their starter (bucket) cards. After that you can have all their prime cards. Even though you PC'ed your starters. They will always be considered that. Went thru all 5 and ended up with 3.
