Hey guys,
So I got a preapproval letter in the mail for the capital one quicksilver card and it had a 0% APR for balance transfers and no transfer fee, so I went ahead and applied. I got approved - but my credit limit is only $300?! I was hoping to find a reconsideration number to call - I called about 4 different numbers and every person I talked to seemed to be more incompetent than the person before them. There were long pauses when I asked to speak to a "credit analyst" or an "underwriter" (the supervisor claimed he didn't know what an underwriter was). They also said there was not a reconsideration department or an EO. They said "the only way you can apply for a CLI is through an automated computer process". This is my first time dealing with the company and right off the bat, my first impression is that this is the worst CC company I've ever dealt with. Guys, help me out -- is there a number I can call or an email address I can use to get a reasonable limit of 3 or 4k?
Thanks for your help.
Enter "Capital One CEO e-mail" into a search engine.
His name comes right up.
E-mail them with your complaint/request, later you will be contacted by the EO.
Don't expect a jump from $300>>>>$4K or $5K though!
Speaking of their fearless leader.....
Here he his, in the flesh:

Exactly. Hopefully they can provide something more flexible than $300 OP.
