Capital One Quicksilver1 HELP!

Hi all!! This will be kinda long😜 I'm new to the forum and credit rebuilding and need to start growing my profile to get a house in hopefully 2 yrs. My scores as of now are pretty low 550s across the board and I've been reading up on which cards would be best for me. With my score so low I never thought I could get an unsecured card so I've never applied thinking I would just get denied anyway so I went ahead and applied for the capital one secured and discover it secured card and was approved for both! I'm waiting on my discover it card to come in the mail and I just need to deposit my funds for my capital one. Upon reading some forums last night I decided to give the QS1 a try since people in my range of credit score have been approved but I got the dreaded "unfortunately we weren't able to approve u at this time please wait 7-10 days for a letter...." my question to you all is there any hope for me should I call or wait it out or is this just a flat out denial any input would be great and again sorry for the LONG intro lol

Re: Capital One Quicksilver1 HELP!

Sorry to hear about your denial but it's not the end of the road, are you doing there pre qualify before applying? Thats what i do anyways. You can call and ask about it or try again in 6 months.

Re: Capital One Quicksilver1 HELP!

I did the pre approval site and it said I was approved for QS1 but just read somewhere that u can only have 1 card for 6 months before getting another but I haven't completed the secured card just yet so I wonder if that's a problem🤔

Yes only one account approval in a 6 mth period with Cap one , its a new rule they just enforced in the last 6mths . Sorry to hear about this . But 6 mths from now you will be able to move on and get it . I don't think there is any way around this new rule at all sorry

Re: Capital One Quicksilver1 HELP!

Thanks aduke1122 I just got off the phone and they confirmed that I can't apply to 2 cards within a month I have 5 months left though and she also informed me that I can't make any more additional deposits to my secured card once I activate it or before the 80 day grace period so I'll just keep saving to get more money to get a higher limit
