I applied for a Capital One Secured card a few months ago and got 'approved' for a $200 deposit/card.
I wasn't able to do the deposit at the time but today I put the money into my bank account to finish. Talked to someone at Capital One this morning and they said since it's been over 80 days I needed to re-submit the application.
My Creditkarma score has actually risen by 10 points or so since the first application but this time I was denied.
I tried calling back and the woman on the phone just read me a script on why she couldn't help me and I should wait for a letter in 7-10 days explaining why I was denied. ( Atleast that's what i think she said in the heavy Indian accent)
I tried to explain that the entire east coast of the US is under cyber attack and could this be the reason for the denial and she said they weren't being cyber attacked at all. (Can't login to Creditkarma or my bank website either)
Anyone have any ideas for me?
Should I apply again once the attack is over or am I screwed completely?
Thanks!
