Capital One Venture One: 60 Seconds Not Enough Time

Weird thing.. I got the "60 seconds wasn't enough time" message when applying for the Venture card today.

I called in and got with the new accounts department and the rep could only tell me about my declined application from a month ago, but he couldn't see my application for today. Soo... maybe it's held up in verification/fraud department or maybe the app just didn't go through properly... I'm not sure. I'll cross fingers something happens. I've read about people getting verification letters or calls.

Re: Capital One Venture One: 60 Seconds Not Enough Time

It has been mentioned that Cap1 only approves one card every 6 months. Perhaps your second app didnt go through because of this. Did you get approved for a cap1 card in the last 6 months?

Yes, they did change that to 6 mos now.  They may also count your last app in that senario.  The 60 seconds is not enough time also sounds like a verification thing.  With them, you never know.

When I applied for my second Venture 2 months ago, I received that message. A few days later cap1 called me to verify it was me and upload a DL to their website. I was approved after two rounds of phone calls. but this was before this new 6 month rule and the last cap1 card I had been approved for 10 months prior.
