Capital One Venture Recon

I was denied the Venture a few months ago with 729-750 F8 scores. It looks like they pulled mortgage scoring models for me and mine are lower than my 8s because I paid my mtg off years ago.  I emailed the CO, they called me back after about three days and said they don't recon denials but invited me to re-apply :-)

gah! ..well at least you got a call back! the not knowing is driving me crazy.. like honestly.. if its a no just call/email me and tell me.. i sent my second email today with URGENT - SECOND REQUEST in the headline so maybe that will help.. ha..

ok i still have not heard back from them.. i certainly hope all this waiting is going to pay off! ... i've tried all the numbers and chat but of course chat can't help me because they deal with existing accounts.. honestly i feel like their customer service has gone way down since this Venture card came out... grr

If you were approved you wouldn't be saying their customer service "has gone way down since this Venture card came out".

Cap1 customer service has never been the best.

Capital One does not recon. Move on....

... chase/citi/boa/wells fargo all denied me and wouldn't recon based on my BK in 12/2013.. but wells fargo and citi both told me to try again in 6 months when im over the 5 year mark on my BK

They are standing behind their denial. That's why you have not received an approval. It's declined.

ok no need to be nasty.. geesh.. my problem is that they are not calling/emailing back.. if the answer is no just tell me.. why put an address on the denial letter to write too if they never reconsider? there are posts in here from people who have gotten a recon...........

Yes, there are posts where people have gotten a recon....but someone always wins the 500 million dollar jackpot too.

Tell us about your credit files. Scores, utilization, AAOA, baddies, inquiries, new accounts. Let's see if we can figure out why you were declined.

Ok, got it. I read your first post when you joined the forums. You were declined on multiple cards. Venture being your latest.

Venture is way out of your league right now. Your 2013 BK is going to be a pimple on your butt for a while. 

Hopefully you will not drive Capital Ones EO crazy. They aren't going to over turn their denial, garden for a year or two and try again later down the road.
